AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

ChristPress Institute of Biblical Research Studies (CIBREST) is an Institute of Biblical Christian researchers or scholars who engage research from a biblical perspective. It encompasses a broad range of disciplines that make use of the Bible as the primary source and foundation of their contents and inquiry.

Its main vision is to foster excellence in the pursuit of Biblical Research Studies in all fields of human endeaviours.

The Institute is an offshoot of CHRISTOPRESS DIGITAL HUB and have the under-listed aims and objectives in line with its parent company’s objectives.

The objectives of ChristoPress Institute of Biblical Research Studies and Theological Education are:

  1. To provide high-quality biblical research, teaching, and training programmes that equip individuals for leadership and ministry
  2. To promote biblical scholarship and leadership through research, publication, and community engagement.
  3. To foster collaboration and partnerships with other organisations, churches, and individuals to advance biblical knowledge and understanding.
  4. Publishing Scholarly Works, research findings, and other materials or forms of content creation to contribute to the advancement of biblical knowledge and understanding.
  5. Hosting or organising Conferences, seminars, workshops, and other events to promote biblical scholarship and research.
  6. Collaborating with other organisations, churches, and individuals to advance biblical knowledge and understanding.
  7. Providing Consulting and Advisory Services: Offer consulting and advisory services to individuals, organisations, and churches on biblical research and scholarship.
  8. Developing Online Courses, Resources, and Tools to support biblical research studies and scholarship.
  9. Fostering Community Engagement and outreach through biblical research and scholarship.
  10. Developing Critical Thinking and Research Skills to help students in biblical research studies.
  11. Fostering Spiritual Growth and Development by encourage students to integrate biblical knowledge with their personal faith and spiritual growth.
  12. To promote interdisciplinary learning and exploration of the intersection of biblical research studies with other disciplines.
  13. To equip students with a comprehensive understanding of the Bible and its teachings.
  14. To establish the institute as a centre or hub of academic excellence in biblical research studies.

FOUR CARDINAL DOCTRINES OF CIBREST

There are four Fundamental Principles that guide our research in this Institute:

SOLA SCRIPTURA:

The Bible alone is the Holy Spirit inspired divine revelation and the final word in the matter of doctrine and practice (2Tim 3:16)

SOLA FIDE:

Faith alone is the means of obtaining justification (Rom 3: 28, 30; 5:1; Gal 2:16; 3:11, 24; cf. James 2: 19-26)

SOLA GRATIA:

Grace alone is the means of salvation, and works play no role in it (Eph.2:5, 8)

SOLA CHRISTUS:

Christ alone is the Saviour, the only Mediator between God and man (Matt 1:21; Lk.2:11; John 4:42; Acts 5:31; 13:23; Eph 5:23; Phil 3:20; 1Tim 1:1; 2:3; 4:10; 2Tim 1:10; Titus 1:3, 4; 2:10,13; 3:4, 6; 2Peter 1:11: 2: 20; 3:2,18; 1John 4:14; 1:25
